College Station, Texas

Yes, back in town . . . probably should have a cheap apartment?  Our trip is three fold and less than 24 hours.  First up was a quick visit to see the grandparents.  Of course we had to make a stop before dropping by their house so we could eat at my new favorite joint in town, Grub Burger Bar . . . oh yes I do love this place!  Second stop was to view/tour three vintage aircraft as part of The Wings of Freedom tour by the Collings Foundation.  Colin was beside himself happy to view up close a P-51, B-24, and B-17.  I admit it was pretty cool!  It was super cool to climb around on the inside but super small and tight spaces too.  The plan was to arrive when they opened at 9:00am and we did, but the weather was not cooperating so we had to wait for about 40 minutes until we could pay and enter.  It was well worth the money and time!
It was super windy but just perfect weather!  I enjoyed watching the planes take off and land and wondering what it must have been like in war on them.
Colin said the only thing that would have made the visit better would he could have ridden in one of the planes . . . you could but it cost big bucks!  He was in no way complaining just letting me know.  We were both hungry so headed to one of my other favorites when in town, Wings 'N More . . .
. . . he loves his wings and so do I!  Our final stop was the catch the Aggie Baseball team in action . . . look at that field!  Pretty cool but how the heck do you manage to pull that off and it look so good?
By the way, the Aggies are having an amazing season so far . . . I managed to snag the exact same seats from the last game in Section 112 Row 1 Seats 3&4 . . . I don't know the season ticket owner of these seats, but we both appreciate him/her selling them at an amazingly great price ($15 if you are wondering) for such amazing seats!  And thank goodness the weather was so much warmer . . . it was more than double from our last game in February.  I know, I know, who goes to a baseball game in February?  I don't know if we can sit any where else since we are now spoiled!
The game was good and close until a marathon 6th inning (I swear it took over 45 minutes) where the Aggies scored 9 runs; the bats were hot!  Colin was excited it was a Sunday game because at the end of the game he could run the bases!
. . . super cool . . . he has a great stride for a runner!
. . . and NO we did not have any Blue Bell ice cream even though we are at Blue Bell Park . . . the recall had just been announced and none to be bought.  It was a super weekend . . . too bad we both have work and school tomorrow.
