After eating hotel breakfast for over a week I decided it was time to go to a restaurant for a better selection. We headed to Egg and I and was it yummy! I had the Hiker's Benedict; think Eggs Benedict with fresh diced veggies . . . it was oh so yummy! We did not have any set plans so decided to go take a ride on the Estes Park Aerial Tramway.
When we arrived at the stop, a lady told me there was a bag of peanuts for my son. I didn't know why we would want peanuts, because we had brought bread to feed chipmunks. We quickly learned that these were some picky chipmunks and they preferred peanuts over bread. I loved this photo of Colin stalking them . . .
He loved it of course! The chipmunks would run get the peanut from his hand and take it off to eat. This continued for awhile . . . there were chipmunks every where you looked.
Of course he did not want to leave but the mention of going to redeem our free game of miniature golf worked! We headed to Tiny Town Miniature Golf for our free game and wouldn't you know it someone scored a hole in 1 on the 19th hole again. We told him to keep it and give it to another family. Colin wasn't too thrilled but the owner told him if he ever returned to remind him he donated his coupon and he could play for free. Again can't say enough nice things about this place . . . a true family run business. It was time to head back to Denver. We arrived with time to drop off the rental car and return to the Embassy Suites for the manager's reception!
