Day 10: Wyoming to South Dakota

I started the morning with rental car tire issues.  I am just keeping my fingers crossed we make it back to Denver to turn this piece of crap car back in to Budget Rental Car!  Our first stop today was Devil's Tower . . .

. . . it was pretty cool and worth the stop.  We learned that this was the first National Monument.  Wyoming has the first National Park (Yellowstone) and the first National Monument . . . sounds like a Jeopardy question to me.  The actual monument is about 867 feet high and there were a few climbers on the tower the day we were there.  At the base as you exit is a huge area of prairie dogs.  They were so stinking cute . . .
You guessed it . . . back on the road . . . hello South Dakota . . .
. . . after a quick stop at the tourist center it was now back on the road to Rapid City!  We are soooooo close!
