Costa Rica day 7

Today is our last full day in Costa Rica . . . always sad at this point in the trip and start getting antsy to get home too.  Our wake up was 8:00am which is nice!  We are spending most of the day on a catamaran.  I can't wait for this relaxing day.  We had the entire boat to ourselves . . .
. . . open bar, lots of food . . . you name it they made it.  Colin immediately went for a cherry smoothie . . .
. . . he has never had one and within an hour they were out.  The captain finally found a nice area to snorkel, swim, paddle board, and enjoy the beach.  Before we entered the water they helped us get fitted with a good mask and kept mentioning life jackets . . . I was not seeing them and asked.  I was handed a foam noodle . . .  not exactly the best option for kids when you drop anchor in the middle of no where but we made do . . .
. . . the beach was isolated and no telling what was living closer inland within all those trees.  We did see the tracks of a really big cat so I stayed as close to the water as possible!  The views were amazing . . .
We swim back to the boat and Colin enjoys swimming around . . . and then he does stuff like this off the boat that almost send me into panic mode . . .
After a few hours we headed back to the hotel.  It is nice that we have time at the hotel to enjoy all the amenities the hotel offers.  Colin and I went to the pool, to the beach, to the bar to play pool, and repeat that for several hours.
We finally took a break and went to the room to get cleaned up for dinner and the final optional activity!  Of course we were early so hung out in these cool swings . . .
For the adults we learned to make mojitos while the kids mastered the art of making a pineapple express . . .
. . . who knew Disney would teach our kids to belly up to the bar?
Once we all had a drink in hand we went to watch some local dancers perform traditional dances for us.  They were good but these annoying bright lights sort of made it difficult to see them which was too bad.
Our final dinner was yummy and spent discussing our favorites of the week with a slide show of fun photos.  I had promised Colin he could play a game before bed so off to the bar area we went.  It seemed most of the group had the same idea so we got to hang out for a bit longer.  Since we had the last departure in the morning we were not sure if we would see anyone at breakfast.  We thanked our two guides and told them good-bye . . .
. . . they really were a great pair and made our week a lot of fun!
