Road Trip Day 11: Olympia and Tacoma

Since we haven't been in the car enough the last few days, we decided to explore the area a bit.  I am now realizing that apparently once we arrived at our destination, I haven't taken very many photos.  Oh well . . . so this morning we decided to go check out Olympia, Washington which is the capital of the state.  The building was grand and pretty and difficult to fit into a photo . . .
. . . I liked these old light posts . . .
We had heard they had a great farmer's market too so off we went.  After a few detours due to a race we arrived.  It was small but wroth the visit too . . .
. . . I loved all the fresh foods and flowers.  The colors were so vivid!  I was a tad bored and thought the hotel was calling only to get caught in a traffic jam so we exited and walked around downtown Tacoma, Washington.  There was no one out and about so we grabbed a quick sandwich for lunch and cupcakes for later.  They were yummy!  It was a lazy afternoon of naps, manager's reception, and eating leftover spatzle of course . . . sometimes you just need those days!

Miles traveled today:  115 miles
Total trip miles:  3,316 miles
