. . . I had absolutely no clue there was a hurricane heading towards Puerto Rico . . . no clue what so ever! Of course I turned the weather channel on to learn that Bertha was now just a Tropical Storm and would be hitting Puerto Rico about the time we land. I guess I should be more aware in the future. Our flight was bumpy to say the least but as long as we land safely that is all that matters. It was rainy and windy but not that bad when we landed. We caught a taxi to the hotel where we learned the casino and pool were closed due to the storm. What did catch my eye was the Outback Steakhouse in the lobby area so dinner it would be! We headed to our room to drop the bags and check the weather report. Our friends were arriving tomorrow so our trip would officially start then and looks like a gorgeous day with slight chances of rain! We are staying at an Embassy Suites which is packed with a lot of people and very noisy but dinner was calling so back out we went for food! We both really love eating at Outback and to start our trip we both ordered a special drink . . .
. . . sometimes it is the best you get with Colin taking photos . . . sometimes he nails it and sometimes not so much. As we were looking around the lobby we kept hearing the coqui frogs. I was doubtful they were real and possibly a noise machine so I went and asked the front desk . . . they laughed and assured me that the sounds were from real live frogs . . . so we tried to see one but zero luck. We were full so back to the room to hang out and relax before the fun starts tomorrow . . . so glad Tropical Storm Bertha is moving out and not going to spoil our fun!

This starts the last trip of the summer before back to work/school. I was laying in bed last night and got a text from my friend Marilyn . . .

I'm impressed with your screen shot of the text message and how you blocked out the last name! ;) I get Logan to help with those kind of things!
ReplyDeleteOh Patti . . . if you only knew how simple it was you wouldn't be that impressed . . . oh and I use paint . . . a little copy and paste and rectangles . . . I know seems so odd but it works.
