Day 1: Magic Kingdom

Let the magic begin . . . sadly we lost an hour of sleep and fun due to daylight savings last night, but we are both all smiles today as we head to the Magic Kingdom to conquer Tomorrowland!  We rode all Colin's our favorite rides:  Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, PeopleMover, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Tomorrowland Speedway.  I guess it is easy to tell the two rides Colin really enjoys!

Some intense looks for the first time on Space Mountain this trip . . .

During the Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor, I earned my 5 seconds of fame.  During the show they flash a photo of audience members on the big screen and make a joke.  I had my purse strap across my upper body when they showed me and said, "This lady is all buckled up and wondering why we haven't moved yet!"  It was funny.  A quick photo before we leave for the day . . .

We managed to ride all these rides in less than 3 hours and then headed next door to the Contemporary Resort to grab lunch at the Contempo Cafe.  I had a tasty pulled pork flat bread and a yummy cupcake!

 

I ended up being too full to eat the cupcake so took it back to the room with us.  Colin had pepperoni pizza.  We caught the bus back to Coronado Springs Resort for some fun in the sun and relaxing by the pool.  Colin loved the pool and slide while I just enjoyed lounging in the sunshine . . .

We ended up having so much fun that we ate dinner poolside . . .

. . . and had roasted marshmallows for dessert!

Okay so here is my pet peeve for the day . . . last night I washed a pair of black socks in the sink (long story) and hung them on a hanger to dry on the rack.  When we came back today they were draped across the line that runs over the bathtub.  Oh and they were no longer black . . .

. . . I am not exactly sure why housekeeping moved them because they were just damp not dripping wet and not in the way.  Apparently when they moved them they had some sort of bleach cleaner on their hands, because they are not black anymore.  I did not complain about a $5 pair of socks, but trust me I was more than annoyed.  Let's just hope this pet peeve issue goes away!
