Our first stop is New York City . . . it is my first time to NYC! I know can you believe that? Many people often find it shocking that I have never been to NYC. Honestly, I have wanted to go for a long time but just never have added it to the travel list. We arrived late afternoon and quickly grabbed a cab to Midtown where we stayed at the New York Hilton Midtown. Oh the traffic but thankfully I am not driving. I tell you I spent days, weeks, months pondering what part of the city to stay . . . I am not sure why since we are only here for a couple days. We quickly made our way to our room (only the 26th floor) and loved the view from high above the busy streets . . .
. . . thankfully we did not hear any of the hustle and bustle of the city! With map in hand, we headed out to explore for a bit before calling it a day. We walked to Times Square and watched all the crazy people out in full force. I quickly remembered how much I do not enjoy crowds and big cities! We ended up at Ellen's Stardust Diner for dinner. The line was wrapped around the building and some in our party complained about the wait but I hold my ground . . . I mean 30 minutes isn't that bad. I know it is a total tourist stop, but we really did think it was fun. Since we did not have time for a Broadway show (or it might have been that I was too cheap to spend big bucks for four great seats), it was nice to hear some talented singers. It was crazy and it was fun . . .
. . . a quick walk back to the hotel to rest up for a busy two days in the city.

Heidi...you always take the greatest pictures...love the shot from the hotel window looking down at the street, and the traffic far below. Glad you're having a terrific time!!!
