to Florida

No time to rest . . . we are meeting our ski and sea buddies for our yearly beach trip.  This year we are headed to Florida.  It is an easy flight from DFW to Jacksonville and closest airport to the two places we will split our stay, St. Augustine and Amelia Island.  I am looking forward to the laid back time . . . the ocean is always calming but the humidity is some what of an issue.  We all arrive close to the same time and head to St. Augustine.  Tonight is the BLUE MOON that we keep hearing about on the news . . .

. . . it sure didn't look blue but it was so pretty from the balcony of the hotel.  We get settled and head out for a quick dinner at Antonia's Pizza.  As luck would have it next door is Rita's . . . ice-custard-happiness.  The kids sure were happy!  Since our hotel is on the beach we decide to have a night time walk on the beach . . . the kids love having room to run wild and frolic before calling it a night.
