Another day, another early wake up! It was back on the trails we went. Today we were going to tackle the Lost Dog Wash Trail to Old Jeep Trail to Ringtail Trail and back to the car. It sounds super long but it was only about 4.2 miles. It was a cool 89 outside when we started with a nice breeze which is probably the only reason I survived!
We had earned a nice reward so stopped at Chez Vous for a yummy crepe! We also picked up some bagles for the kiddos who again manged to sleep while we burned calories. Colin had other plans for his bagel . . .
We checked out of the hotel and headed for another superb hotel! The kids were promised gelato so we made good on that first . . .
. . . oh I deserved it too . . . hazelnut with a taste of dark chocolate! Yummy beyond words since it was at least 102 outside by now! So the last hotel was for the kids and tonight was adult choice and are we excited! You just sort of know when you pull into hotel that it is going to be amazing and let's say The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is beyond words amazing! We arrived early knowing our room would not be ready so head to the spa to change . . . I think the girls loved all that the locker room had to offer . . . and headed right for the pool. What a rough life! She that blue pitcher on the table? They refill it every 15 minutes with super cold iced water. Again the service at this place is over the top amazing! Oh and they put covers on the chairs for the kids too . . .
I received a text when our room was ready and headed to check it out. They had me from the turn of the door knob! The extra touches like cookies and juice for Colin . . .
. . . to my most favorite bathroom products . . .
Oh my I love this place. The room was nice and the bathroom was huge!
Yes, I tried to turn on the fireplace just because and it would not. When I booked my room, I referenced a photo on the website that had a great view and said something like this is what I want to see when I look out of my room. Well . . .
I could not get enough of the view!
. . . that is exactly what I got! Guess it goes to show you never know what can happen if you just ask. And seriously when do you ever get the view you ask for without paying a lot more? Again, it is August and beyond words HOT and rates at these properties make it a doable stay that at other times of the year would not be happening on my budget!
We enjoyed a long stay at the pool and every hour the pool side treat were fun. The kids wanted hibachi and sushi so we headed to enjoy a fun dinner at Sapporo. We all ate way too much but it was yummy and fun!
Yes, our plates were set on fire! We returned the hotel and one of the employees wanted to show us something they found . . .
. . . a big tarantula. Hope there isn't one in our room! Colin was not so thrilled that we walked back to our room in the dark instead of taking the golf cart.
