El Paso, Texas day 2

It was a late wake up but did that sleep feel great or what!  We don't really have any plans for the day except hang out and enjoy family.  First stop is for lunch . . . you can not go to El Paso and not have Mexican food!  Oh it was so good . . .
Then for some fun on the race track . . .
. . . and off to visit with family and celebrate.  This is Colin and his great grandmother!
Sometimes we forget to stop and take these photos . . . this photo made the trip worth it all by itself!  We enjoyed great food and hanging out visiting with people we don't get to see very often.  It was a great 48 hours but time to head back home!

Side Story:  We had a rental car while in El Paso . . . one thing I hardly ever do is pay for the extra insurance from the rental car company . . . like never.  For some reason when I picked up the car I hesitated when the agent asked and decided since we were so close to the Mexico border it was probably a good idea even thou the thought of paying $40 extra rubbed me the wrong way.  So we were covered and had some peace of mind.  So remember that hail storm I mentioned the day we arrived while we were away at dinner?  Well it got the car . . . pretty bad actually . . . so guess what turned out to be the best money spent that weekend?  The best $40 ever spent . . . as we pulled in to the rental car return lane, I told Colin he did not need to mention the hail pings.  As soon as we stepped out of the car the agent said so I see you got some hail damage but since you had the insurance no worries for you; here is your receipt have a great day.  Indeed I will . . . so now I will forever ponder paying for the extra insurance but for now can be thankful I did not have to file a claim with my insurance and pay the hefty deductible.  We name our car the Blue Bullet . . . it was anything but fast and wasn't so great.  At one point we were sitting at a stop light and Colin asked me why I was shaking so bad . . . the car vibrated so bad.  We laughed a lot about the car . . .
. . . I wish I would have taken a photo of us standing next to it because it felt like a clown car since it was so small.  I thought who would want to steal this car and take it to Mexico.
