I have never been so glad for something to be over! I didn’t even mind the 5am wake up to catch my ride to the airport. While my time in the Azores was great the hikes were tough on me. I told myself taking the year to travel I had to do things that were out of my comfort zone and this sure was. I’m glad I did it but time to move on to next part of trip; Porto, Portugal. I have had Porto on my list for a long time so super excited for the next few days. Good Bye Azores!
Flight was delayed and I’m starving but at least I got a few bites of fruit to hold me over. I finally got settled at the hotel which is very nice and in an old building right in the heart of the tourist center. ICON Duplo Ribeira was beautiful and the location was perfect for exploring! I loved the welcome note and snack!
The room was nice but these two sort of freaked me out . . .
I ventured out to the tourist area for an over priced pizza which I had been craving for several days and it tasted awful, oh well at least the views were nice!
I headed back to the hotel to plan my next few days since I have been slacking and have no plans.
