Anaheim, CA day 2

Colin enjoyed breakfast at Storytellers Cafe yesterday that we did it again today!  What a yummy start to another day of fun!

Since we were staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels we could enter Disney California Adventure 15 minutes earlier than the general public at the side entrance.

They had 2 rides open so we could mark those off the list too!  We made it to the rope drop area before the actual rope drop . . . only a hundred other people too!  I thought they would all make a mad dash for the California Screamin roller coaster while we planned to make a leisurely stroll to the Toy Story Midway Mania ride . . . WOW everyone made a super fast dash for Toy Story so we joined the fun too.  We had to wait about 20 minutes, but when we left the wait was 50 minutes long!  WOW, needless to say we only rode it one time . . . when we were at Disney World last year the wait was over 70 minutes and I refused to wait so we did not.  It was a fun ride but no way would I wait over 30 minutes . . . it so needs to be a Fastpass ride!  As his last ride he rode the Grizzly River Run . . .

. . .and was soaked!   The rain jacket was no help and the others with him were dry!  So soaked he had to changed everything he had on including his shoes!  Colin wasn't as interested in this park so we headed back to the hotel to swim and relax . . . he needed pool time as much as I needed another Pina Colava!  We relaxed and then headed out to the Lego store . . . go figure!  It was the grand reopening of the store that was huge . . .

. . .look at that wall of Legos!  It was really a big store, and we wasted at least an hour there.  As part of the grand reopening they had a Master Lego Builder who was building a super sized dragon (not sure if it is called).  You were given a sheet of a section and you built it!
When you finished you turned it in and received a certificate . . . they expected adults to do it too so I joined the fun.  You can see the small model on the table and the beginning of the larger version on the ground . . .
Lego Master Builder Dan getting to work . . .
Too bad we did not see the finished project!  We returned to the hotel to check out . . . the doors are so beautiful during the day too . . .
A great place to stay but a little expensive (you are so paying for location) . . . good military rates that were truly appreciated!
