Today is a sea day which means all day we see this . . .
. . . or this . . .
. . . ALL.DAY.LONG! Which means we really must get out of the room and enjoy all the fun things the ship has to offer such as ice skating . . .
Now I love this photo mainly because of the little girl in the background . . . I feel your pain sister but it is hilarious too . . .
. . . shuffle board . . .
. . . there is absolutely no cheating allowed. Rock climbing . . .
. . . ringing the bell at the top. Doesn't look so big does it? Well how about this (Colin is on the left) . . .
. . . I think it was 30 feet above the deck and 200 feet above sea level . . . and NO way did I give it a try but Colin sure loved it! And of course there was time to just be L-A-Z-Y and do nothing! It's not like one can get off the boat so you make the most of it and get ready to get off at the first port tomorrow. After much rest and walking it was time for the first formal dinner night. Now let me say that this is my least favorite part of the cruise . . . I don't want to 'dress up' on vacation, but I do take some nice clothes to wear but no formal gowns for me and in fact hardly anyone truly dress 'formal' which is really nice too.
Oh, you see that big smile on the boy? Well let's just say it wasn't so big when he was putting on that tie and those dress shoes! We have enjoyed our service team of Jorge (from India) and Jose (from Argentina); they are both great. Jorge decided to teach Colin a trick tonight. In front of him was a water glass with water and a straw . . . his challenge to Colin was to pick it up the glass without touching the glass. So after much thinking no one could do it . . . and then Jorge gave Colin the secret to the trick . . .
. . . well great! I lectured to NOT use my good glasses at home. It was a nice treat to have a 'visitor' when we returned to our cabin . . .
Tomorrow is our first port of call: COZUMEL
