College Station, Texas

I know, I know, we are back in Aggieland!  You know it is always fun to take Colin to College Station and share with him memories from the days of Sean and I being in college.  I think over time he has learned to appreciate the trips and enjoy them too.  Tonight was a first . . .
Colin's first Aggie Baseball game and my first time in Olsen Field since it was remodeled a few years back . . . the view from our seats (section 112 row 1 seats 3&4) was really great!
Yes, it is still February.  Yes, it wasn't that cold when I purchased tickets.  Yes, Texas is usually not that cold this time of year but tonight it is C-O-L-D!  We have tickets for the Friday night game and if we only go to the game for a few innings we will be in our seats!  So how cold is it?  39 with 15 mph wind so it feels like we are in the Arctic . . . so we are crazy!  At least it isn't raining . . . snow was in the forecast!  How cool would that be?  Anyway, I loved Aggie Baseball games when I was a student . . . it was a lot of fun and crazy at times too . . . a lot of fun, great memories!  I only wish I would have taken more photos when in college . . . well thankfully somethings aren't.  I think he enjoyed the game . . . he didn't want hot chocolate but a nice, big, cold Dr. Pepper . . .
And sometimes you just have to be silly in light of the coldness . . .
. . . let me tell you we were layered from head to toe with foot and hand warmers!  I thought about bringing in a blanket but didn't want to look crazy!  FYI:  I think we were the only people without a blanket!  All I can think about is the warm hotel room and the indoor heated pool!  And by the way we stayed for ALL 9 innings!  Sadly there were not that many people at the game and it turned exciting in the bottom of the 8th inning when the Aggies scored 4 runs to take the lead and eventually win 4-3!
Over the weekend, we also visited the grandparents and of course stopped by the cemetery too.  I keep asking myself, how did this happen?
. . . how much he has grown the last ten years just blows my mind!
