Day 13: Miami, Florida

The last day!  I think we are ready to head home but our flight doesn't leave until really late so we head out to explore Miami Beach for a few hours.  Parking is crazy and traffic backed up but we finally found a spot and pulled right in.  I was surprised at how nice the beach and water really were . . .

. . . I guess I am used to Texas beaches and murky water but the whitish sand and blue water was really pretty and nice.  Before we headed back to the hotel we had lunch at Block's Pizza . . .

. . . it was super yummy and the vegetables were so fresh too!  We packed up our stuff and just hung out until time to head to the airport to catch our 9:45pm flight back to Texas.  The waiting is just miserable.  Our flight left on time and arrived on time.  We pulled out of the Austin airport at midnight, and I happily slipped into bed at 2:05am.  I was so tired!
