I love sea days . . . which is really code for lazy days of nothing except eating, walking around, and napping! Well and packing because tomorrow our cruise ends! This was suppose to be our sleep late morning, but we had yet another early wake up call. We managed to snag a spot for the Ifly skydiving simulator. The only issue was it was at 9 AM. Colin managed to get up and dressed in record time. We headed to deck 15 to check in and wait 15 minutes for his flight time. We managed to finally find this cute cool dude.
I dropped Colin at the Ifly check-in and headed upstairs to watch. The real question was would he or would he not do it?
I see my reflection in the picture above too! It was his turn which also happens to be the last person in their group. He looks nervous but did it.
It was difficult to take a picture in flight with his constant moving and the glare on the glass, but he looked as if he was having somewhat of a good time. We headed back to our cabin to rest a bit since he had to wake up so early but Trevor our cabin attendant was cleaning the room. So we headed downstairs to hang out at Sorrento Pizza and have a breakfast of champions.
Who knew they served pizza for breakfast on the ship? Back to the cabin to do nothing. I finally convinced Colin to go to lunch with me in the dining room. Much to our surprise we were seated in The Grande Restaurant which at dinner you are only allowed to eat there if you're dressed formally which means a jacket for the men. Obviously we were not planning to dress that way so figured there would be no chance for us to eat there on this trip. Well the menu was a bit different than what Colin was used to he managed to find something that he would eat, steak of course. I had a big lunch meal of a caprese salad, chicken and waffle sandwich, and a Napoleon for dessert.
Colin's steak was served with edamame which there was a very slim chance that he would ever even eat. So a challenge was issued for him to eat one . . . doesn't he look so excited?
If he ate it then he could do whatever he wanted until dinner, but first he had to go for one last round of bumper cars . . .
And then I'm taking a nap and packing our bags. Oh and yes he ate the lone edamame so off he went to have fun at the SeaPlex. Nothing but fun times as our cruise comes to an end and our bags are outside our cabin by 10:00pm . . .

I didn't know what an "Edamame" was, so looked it up and learned:
ReplyDelete"Edamame is a young soybean that has been harvested before the beans have had a chance to harden. You can buy them shelled or in the pod, fresh or frozen."
Sounds good, and it's healthy for you, too!!! ; )
