Sadly, the cabin had to be left and time to move on which also means my trip is quickly coming to an end but first a few more things to check off my list. Quick stop at Soleduck Trail . . .
We came upon this small water fall and thought surely this isn't it . . .
. . . so we kept walking arriving at our final destination being Soleduck Falls . . .
A quick stop in Port Angeles to just walk around but not much else since it was an early Sunday morning. Did check it out in case return and take the ferry to Victoria, Canada. So on to Sequim for some berry picking . . .
. . . and lavender farm smells . . .
. . . and lunch too! I had hoped that since we were on the coast we could get some fresh whole crab but not so. I had to settle for a dungeness crab melt which was amazing and loaded with fresh lump crab meat!
The views from the Dockside Marina were nice too.
Now let me say this about the quick stop in Sequim. Get a map . . . a good map or stop at the visitor center and ask how to get where you want to go. We had two small maps in a tourist book but they were both awful! I thought it would be easy to get around but no. We drove in circles for a bit and finally figured it out. It was a bit difficult to get to, but I was determined to pick some berries and eat lunch. It was back on the road to catch the ferry back to the Seattle area.
. . . I tell you this ferry travel sure does cut out a lot of driving!
