Arizona day 3

I woke to a loud noise and soon realized it was thunder.  It was a lazy wake up so I turned on the television to see what was happening.  Apparently it is monsoon season and it was raining a lot.  We managed to make it to breakfast without melting in the rain.  Yesterday the waitress recommended another item on the menu as her favorite so today I ordered Caramelized Banana Waffles.  I am not a fan of bananas but let me tell you these are awesome!  I wasn't that hungry so ordered a half order (regret because they were so yummy) . . .

. . . and a small bowl of pineapple and berries . . .

. . . again it was a huge portion but managed to eat it all since they were my favorites.  Colin wasn't hungry at all and only ordered a side of bacon.  So today our voucher did not pay off . . . we only spent $28.  We headed back to the room to pack our stuff because our Ski and Sea friends were arriving today!  We still had a $62 lunch voucher so we treated our friends to dessert before departing the hotel!  Oh you guessed it!

We grabbed our bags and headed out for a little shopping . . . Colin was thrilled beyond words!  When we are together there are certain things that we always do . . . so today was no different when we stopped at In N Out . . .

We now have an In N Out in our town now but something about eating it in Arizona makes it so much better.  We changed hotels today, Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch.  Neither of us have any sort of status with this hotel so we will not be getting any upgrades.  Our rooms were ready . . .

. . . and we quickly dropped our bags and headed for the pool!  Kids . . . what kids?

We happened to arrive on the night the slide was open late . . .

The pool area is why we booked this hotel and hopefully the pool will keep us busy and relaxed tomorrow!
