Texas Road Trip: Spring Break day 6

Another day on the road with a couple stops.  I have always wanted to visit Dinosaur Valley State Park but haven't.  We live less than two hours from the park but just never made the trip.  It is a beautiful day so hopefully we will see some dinosaur tracks!  The weather was perfect which made the view so nice . . .
The main tracks were flooded but they were working hard to get the water and mud pumped out so you could see them . . . it was muddy but you can still make them out as tracks . . .
What we really enjoyed was just wading in the water.  This would be a perfect place to visit on a hot Texas summer day!  We skipped rocks and searched for more tracks . . .

Most of the tracks were under water . . .
. . . but glad we made a stop.  It was back on the road to Dallas so Colin could spend some of his Christmas and birthday money at the airsoft store.  I had plans for dinner and dessert!  Dinner was at Babe's Chicken Dinner House . . .
I love that Babe's has 4 or 5 items on the menu which isn't printed just read to you and then the sides are served family style.  That salad looks so blah but it has the best dressing on it!  The it was over to Hurts Donuts for dessert . . .
back row:  Homer Simpson, Almond Joy, Jesus
front row:  Fred Flintstone, S'more, Cookie Monster
How fun are those donuts?  It was time to drive back across Dallas in a nightmare of road construction.  The exits were closed and we went in circles for a while but Colin stepped up and helped me with directions.  We finally made it and called it day.
