My original excursion was canceled so instead I took a chill day at the beach. The ship docked on the Dutch side and Orient Beach is on the French side . . . we were warned that "you know the French are okay with nudity". Americans as so sheltered! As the bus drove to the beach, the devastation of Hurricane Irma in 2017 is still very visible. It is sad that so many are still trying to recover and rebuild. We were told many times how much tourism helps locals rebuild so I am happy to be here . . . so to the beach . . . Orient Beach is one of the top beaches in the world.

I went outside as we sailed away . . . one by one the ships left and the sky was amazing!
