San Luis Obispo, CA

It was our final day in Pismo Beach so we decided to spend a few hours soaking in the sunshine. It was not so sunny when we arrived but the sun finally made an appearance. Colin loved playing in the sand, chasing the waves (the water was about 55; so very cold), and watching the surfers while I walked up and down the beach. Just so relaxing . . .
We headed back to the house for lunch and to clean out the rental car before we took it back. We made a quick stop at the Mission San Luis Obispo. It had a nice museum and garden but the boy wasn't so thrilled . . .
We spent the evening hours at the SLO Farmer's Market . . . it had some of the freshest produce and some yummy food too. As we left, we checked out Bubble Gum Alley . . .

I know YUCK! And if you can't figure it out it is a small alley where the walls are covered in used/chewed gum . . . who comes up with these things? Tomorrow we head north and our Spring Break is almost over. We learned of the terrible earthquake in Japan before we headed to bed and that California might have some tsunami conditions along the coast tomorrow.
