Carlsbad, CA

Well the only reason we were in Carlsbad was for Legoland!
This is a place Colin has been asking to visit for awhile since he had such a great time last summer at Legoland Germany, and the first stop just had to be the Volvo Driving School . . .
. . . we arrived before the park opened and I was amazed at how empty the place really was so we took full advantage of the lack of lines.

. . . and then the lines were crazy long, and we waited for a ridiculous amount of time to ride a very weak roller coaster!
Since lines were getting so long we took a break and visited Sea Life . . . which was included in our Park Hopper ticket. It was a nice break, but I would not have paid extra.

We managed to 'visit' DC, Mount Rushmore (on my list to really see), and NY . . .

. . . all in Legos of course. They had a special display of Star Wars all in Legos too. And then it was time to hit this . . .
. . . the only Legoland in the world that has a water park! This was also included in our Park Hopper ticket and of course Colin loved it! The water was way too cold for me but you know that never stops kids from running crazy!

The day was getting long so it was time to change for one last ride . . .
Of course it was the driving school . . . there was no line so he was able to ride it two times. One last photo inside the park . . .
. . . and in the parking lot we parked in Lot C!
