South Padre Island, Texas

It was our last day in the area.  We didn't have any plans except drop the visiting trio off at the airport.  We said good bye to the condo and stopped to snap one last photo . . .

We ventured over to Brownsville to have one last meal at Whataburger and then did the airport drop off.  Colin and I headed back home on 77 . . . there was one last border patrol checkpoint . . .

. . . and we were good to go and back on the road in no time.  We made a restroom/fuel stop at Stripes.  I think we are going to like this place when they open in our town.  Colin loved the fact they had 10 flavors of icees!  No time to waste as it was a long day driving back home for us.  We made one more stop about an hour from our house as I was getting tired.  Then before we knew it we were back home.  Home Sweet Home . . . our last trip of the summer and we have only been home this summer for about 3 weeks total, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
