Breckenridge, CO day 3

Today is our last full day here in Breckenridge so we must all do what we enjoy the most!  Oh did I mention today is my birthday . . . HELLO 40!  I am so excited.  My 20s ended with the birth of Colin and my 30s started with the death of Sean so I am beyond thrilled to have a decade of goodness!  Life is tooooooo short to dwell on silly stuff.  The kids are back to ski school and the moms are back to the Nordic Center to snowshoe.  We actually started our hike outside our condo and went on the Engleman trail towards Hallelujah Hut . . .
. . . I just love these trail signs!  I was seriously tired for some reason lately so we headed back down the towards Willow trail to the Nordic Center.  Thankfully the views were so beautiful!
We came across fresh moose scat . . .
but no moose!  I just couldn't help myself.
At least I know I am on the right trail!  We arrived at the Nordic Center and had another bowl of delicious soup too!  It was just a relaxing day even if I wimped out early!  We decided to head back to the gondola but took a detour to a rest area we love the view at . . .
To the slopes we went in hopes of seeing the kids actually skiing, but after tracking them on the EpicMix app we knew there was no way.  They were way beyond where we could see them and skiing like crazy children with Ben!  Who is Ben?  Ben was the instructor of two of the kids and every night we heard all about Ben.  It was Ben this and Ben that which was funny to us but the kids loved him!  I mean seriously they knew where he was from, where he went to school, where he went during the spring and summer when ski school was closed, and the list goes on and on.  At least Ben was teaching them to ski and took them on runs that there was no other way they would be able to ski on either!  Two kids were so excited about having lunch in a hut at the top of one of the peaks.  I have no idea what or where they are talking about but they were all excited that they were the only young kids there and for lunch you had a voucher and could have anything you wanted.  Well then isn't that grand!  I will probably never go there but Ben takes them.  So was a great match this year . . . now if we could only get all three kids in the same group and to get along life on vacations would be picture perfect!  I again caught Colin as his day ended . . .
Look Mom, I skied for the first time with poles!  He wasn't impressed.  This is Ben . . .
Cool Dude he is!  Kids got one more ride on the Alpine Slide . . .
. . . and then we had a surprise for them.  We told them since it was Sunday we were going to mass in a conference room at the neighbor resort . . . surprisingly no one really complained . . . we were actually going here . . .
It was awesome.  The steam rooms were amazing and the kids played for hours while we relaxed and all bounced from whirlpool, to steam room, to pool.  Great ending to our trip!  It was back to the condo to eat leftovers and prepare for our early morning drive to Denver.

Colin's Day 3 Ski School Summary . . .
This kid is covering a ton of slopes!  It amazes me this is where he went in only one day!  I think we will request Ben again!  He was beyond exhausted after three full days on the slopes!
