Viva Las Vegas . . . it is a girl only weekend trip with me, Lisa (aunt), and Katie (cousin). This should be interesting! The view as we flew in to Vegas was so pretty . . .
We quickly grabbed our bags and headed for the Elara Hilton Grand Vacations. Let me just say the time share people at this hotel were like vultures! Our room was ready about 5 minutes after we arrived and up we went; not a bad view . . .
There was no time to waste so off we went to explore the strip. We stopped at New York-New York Casio where this big spender put in $5 + $1 + $1 and then finally won $40.10.
. . . all on the penny slot maching . . . so cash out time it was! All those big winnings required a nap! After a short rest it was back out to the Bellagio to watch the fountain show. It was a total buzz kill as there were major technical problems and no music. At least we saw a little bit but those around us said it was nothing like it should have been . . .
. . . and then it got exciting! We had a real life COPS moment when a guy was arrested just feet away after a major scuffle with police . . .
Apparently he had knocked over an elderly couple and tired to attack/rob them. They were both injured and felt terrible for them. At least the guy was captured! We were all hungry so headed to the Cosmopolitan for a slice at 'Secret Pizza'. It was so yummy! A short walk back to the hotel where we discovered we walked 8.3 miles this afternoon.
