Copenhagen, day 4

So today was just one of those days that sort of drags along. We started with an early breakfast and hit the pool at 9:00am for an hour. It was sure refreshing to start the day this way . . . why doesn't my town have an indoor pool? Anyway, back to the room to pack our stuff, get dressed, and play some ping pong downstairs before catching a taxi to the terminal. We did not have to be anywhere until 3:30pm so plenty of time to sort of kick back. We got to the ferry terminal around 1:00pm to check in early before the mass of people arrived! We were the only two there so threw our luggage in a locker and headed out to see Copenhagen's most famous resident since she did just live down the street. Well, that little girl decided to take an extended trip to China! Can you believe that? It must have been a really long swim!

The Little Mermaid has been 'loaned' to Shanghai for the World Expo . . . why I don't know but why during the busiest time of year? You would not believe the numbers of visitors who were still there . . . they even set up a live feed on this huge big screen television. I knew she was gone but wanted to go check it out anyway . . . oh and she is very tiny! At least the rock she sits on is small so she can't be that big either. Across the street is the Kastellet which is a star shaped fortress that is still used for some of the military of Denmark. It was a nice day to walk around outside but there was a very dark cloud approaching so our time was ticking!

On the way back to the terminal I got Colin a soft served ice cream which was a big mistake!
