Our first day at Epcot . . .
I knew this would not be as exciting for Colin as me but he was still going to go. We were at the park early and ready to sprint to The Land to get Fast Passes for Soarin' . . . which I think every other person there did the mad dash too. It was crazy!! The line to get a Fast Pass was long so we just rode the ride because the wait was less than 10 minutes. When we got off we got Fast Passes to ride again later. We headed downstairs to ride Living with the Land which I have always enjoyed . . . floating in the greenhouses seeing all the experiments . . .
The parks were all still decorated with their Christmas decorations. I really loved these . . .
We then headed across the way so Colin could ride Test Track and Mission Space with my dad because I don't really do those type of rides. Before we 'crossed' the border to the World Showcase we saw this . . .
. . . I was like what character is this? Well, he is Duffy the Disney Bear . . . we snapped photos and got an autograph so we could continue to our lunch in Mexico . . . the little counter/fast food place on the water . . . OMG it was so yummy. I had the cheese empanadas that were SO yummy . . . or maybe it was the margarita? It was a busy morning so we headed back to the hotel to catch a few rays . . .
Yes, we actually went swimming . . . the pools were heated to a decent temperature for a child to swim but this adult headed to the hot pool. We were rested and ready to go back to Epcot for dinner at The Land's Garden Grill. It was a character dinner that was all-you-care-to-eat; basically a set menu and they brought 'refills' to you . . . so much better than trying to get food with so many people at a buffet! I was really surprised at how often characters came to our table . . . each one stopped by on three different visits!
A sweet ending for the Birthday Boy's celebration!
And more characters . . .
