Arizona Adventure day 5

Thanks again to Groupon for some good deals we went on a Red Rock Jeep Tour at a 50% savings! We met our guide and other group members and set out to explore the famous red rocks. We went on the Canyons and Cowboys tour . . . our guide was dressed as a cowboy . . . and Colin was excited! The jeeps are made to handle rough terrain and 'climb' the rocks. He loved every second of it! One of the first rocks we saw was "Teapot Rock" . . .
Do you see the teapot? You know I was loving that one! Here is the jeep tour in front of our group . . .
Colin LOVED the rough off road jeep tour. We made a stop to have a photo . . .
Our "cowboy" dropped us off at our hotel and we headed to NY Bagel Company for lunch. It was really good and they were so friendly too. I had promised pool time if he was good on the tour which he was so we went to the pool for a little relaxing time. We regrouped and decided to do an afternoon hike near Bell Rock . . . that part of Sedona is just beautiful and the hike was good too; do you see me in the photo below?
I was here last summer and it is still beautiful! Yesterday I bought Colin a balsa wood glider plane when at Bashas' . . . he had a blast letting it soar while hiking!
It is hard to take a decent photo of the two of us when there weren't many people out hiking . . .
I wanted to go to dinner at the it place . . . no reservations and the line starts forming at 4:30pm. We drove by before our hike and it was already long! After the hike we passed again . . . only a 45 minute wait which wasn't too bad, but we were both so hungry. Colin was so sweet and said we could wait, but I decided to head to our back up restaurant, The Barking Frog Grille which was very good too . . . I had a Prickly Pear Margarita, Green Chili Pork Tostadas, and Prickly Pear Chicken Flautas (the best I have ever tasted!) . . . they were both on the appetizer menu but SO yummy! It was a great way to end our day.
